Lenzing's post-rights share count went live on the Vienna Stock Exchange on Friday, with 34,756,362 new shares added to take the total to 73,374,542. The step formally closes the books on a capital increase that grossed roughly EUR 301.2 million and was designed to shore up the fibre maker's balance sheet while funding its "Grow Nonwovens, Reset Textiles" strategy.

Take-up was near-total. Of the shares on offer through the subscription window, 34,411,626 were subscribed, a take-up rate of 99%. The remainder of the issue was accounted for by the new shares themselves, which were priced at EUR 8.65 apiece.

Insiders Exercise Rights at the Issue Price

Several related parties moved on their subscription rights, according to mandatory disclosures published around the transaction. B&C KB Holding GmbH, a close associate of supervisory board member Patrick Lackenbucher, acquired 8,689,086 Lenzing shares on Thursday outside a trading venue at EUR 8.65 each. The corresponding notification followed on Friday.

Oberbank AG, which is closely linked to supervisory board member Martin Seiter, took 1,344,177 shares at the same EUR 8.65 price, also disclosed on Friday. Separately, executive board member Christian Skilich reported the purchase of 1,710 shares at EUR 8.65 on Friday.

The proceeds are earmarked for the company's "Grow Nonwovens, Reset Textiles" programme and for reinforcing its capital structure.

Heiligenkreuz Keeps Running Into 2027

Alongside the financing news, Lenzing has pushed back the planned halt of production at its Heiligenkreuz site. The shutdown, previously slated for the end of 2026, will now take place at the end of the first quarter of 2027, a company spokesperson confirmed. The delay is intended to allow production to be transferred smoothly to other locations and to keep customer deliveries intact. Around 285 people work at the site.

Despite the completed capital measure and the insider buying, the stock finished Friday's session 1.7% lower, extending its decline after the share purchases were disclosed.
