Lenzing's Leftover Shares Carry an €8.65 Floor as Settlement Waits on Court Filing
Published on 10/21/2026 at 07:11 | Editorial boerse-global.deLenzing's €300 million capital increase has cleared its biggest hurdle, but the Austrian fibre maker still has loose ends to tie up before the new stock can trade. The preliminary subscription result published yesterday shows 34,411,626 of the 34,756,362 new shares on offer were taken up through subscription rights — a take-up rate of 99.0%. What remains is a sliver of unsubscribed stock, and the syndicate banks are mandated to sell it on the market at no less than €8.65 per share, a floor that matches the subscription price.
That price floor is the detail income investors should anchor on. It applies only to the residual placement, not to the raise as a whole, and it sets a hard minimum for the final leg of the transaction.
Subscription Is Not Settlement
The 99.0% figure describes acceptance of the offer. It does not mean the shares have been delivered, settled or admitted to trading. Lenzing expects settlement, delivery and the start of trading in the new shares under the existing ISIN on 23 October, subject to registration of the capital increase in the company register. The date is planned, not unconditional, and the new shares carry dividend rights from 1 January 2026.
The gross proceeds Lenzing is targeting from the fully underwritten raise come to roughly €300 million. That is a target figure, not cash already banked.

Who Took the Stock
The consortium of B&C Group and Suzano accounted for 52.25% of the offer. Per an APA report, 18,159,291 of the subscribed shares went to that syndicate — a figure already embedded in the overall total, not additive to it. Oberbank took 3.87%. Both percentages refer to the new shares on offer, not to ownership stakes in Lenzing once the measure closes.
There was board-level participation too: Georg Kasperkovitz and Christian Skilich exercised subscription rights on 12 October. Those transactions document the two executives' involvement in the offer; they carry no standalone forecast for the stock.
Two Questions, One Answer Each
Investors should keep three stages apart. Exercising rights is captured in the preliminary result. Selling the unsubscribed shares through the banks comes next. Delivery and the start of trading follow, conditional on the register entry.
Lenzing at a turning point? This analysis reveals what investors need to know now.
The take-up rate answers whether the offer was accepted. It says nothing about revenue, earnings or where the share price goes from here. Strong demand for the offer is not the same as a verdict on Lenzing's operating performance — and the completion of the raise still hinges on the legal step that unlocks the October trading date.
