Lenovo shares pulled back 4.2% in the latest session to EUR 4.01, a retreat that followed hard on the heels of a 3.8% advance last Friday that had left the stock at EUR 4.20. The earlier climb came amid sustained demand for data-center hardware and commercial AI applications, while the subsequent slide carried no accompanying company-specific disclosure or miss that would explain the discount. Mid-month, the stock had touched a fresh 52-week high of EUR 4.21.

BOCI Opens Coverage With Buy Rating

Against that volatile backdrop, analysts at BOCI initiated coverage of the Chinese technology group on September 22 with a buy recommendation and a price target of HKD 48.4, according to media reports. The brokerage's bullish case rests on operating momentum inside the Infrastructure Solutions Group, which it said is moving steadily toward a double-digit pre-tax margin. The infrastructure segment is benefiting across the industry from spending on enterprise servers and data-center capacity needed to run compute-intensive workloads.

Company figures point in the same direction: the infrastructure solutions division lifted profitability to a record level, and AI-related products now account for 35% of group revenue.

Virtualization Push and a Saudi Edge-AI Pact

On the product front, Lenovo rolled out an expanded virtualization lineup on September 18, introducing the ThinkAgile VX850 V4 systems alongside validated configurations and deployment services. The offerings target modernization of virtualized infrastructure and are designed to handle cloud-native applications and artificial intelligence workloads in addition to conventional tasks.

Two days earlier, on September 16, the company unveiled updated ThinkAgile infrastructure and expanded Express solutions, aimed at giving commercial customers more resilience, flexibility and control over their on-premises IT environments. A day before that, on September 15, Lenovo signed a memorandum of understanding with chipmaker MemryX to jointly advance sovereign edge-AI solutions in Saudi Arabia.

Distribution was also in focus on September 21, when the group struck a partnership with Schneider Electric to equip partners in the Lenovo 360 Circle network with tools and advisory support for decarbonization.

Ducati Corse, Fast Company and an IFA Portfolio

Lenovo is simultaneously showcasing its computing muscle in elite motorsport. Ducati Corse, the racing division, is using the company's high-performance computing infrastructure to design and develop its 2027 race motorcycle. The group was also named on September 9 to Fast Company's innovation list.

Earlier in the month, at its IFA showcase, Lenovo presented its latest portfolio for business customers, centered on hybrid AI solutions for enterprises. The presentations spanned AI-powered work devices and displays as well as new IT security technologies.

Those product initiatives were flanked by results from an industry-wide comparison study of roughly 600 companies. In mid-September, Lenovo scored 87.51 points overall to take the top spot, a result the company said matched leading ratings from prior years.

October 29 Report in the Crosshairs

Market watchers are now gradually turning their attention to whether that operating momentum can be sustained. According to media reports, Lenovo plans to publish its next financial report on October 29.

Following record figures in the first quarter of fiscal 2026/27, investors will be watching whether the sharp growth in AI orders and data-center infrastructure can keep the pace of expansion intact through the second half of the year.

Separately, the articles noted a legal matter involving patent infringements related to laptops; there was no connection between the filing and the share price performance, according to the available reports.
