IperionX's Cash Position Hits Record High While Its Share Price Sinks to New Lows

IperionX's liquidity hits $84M after capital raise, but shares remain near 52-week lows as investors demand cash flow over vision.

The disconnect could hardly be starker. IperionX has never had more money in the bank, yet its stock has never been cheaper relative to where it started the year. That paradox is now defining the titanium producer's narrative as it pushes deeper into commercial production.

A $50 Million Boost Reshapes the Balance Sheet

The company ended June with $35.2 million in liquid assets. Then July delivered a decisive injection: a capital raise via American Depositary Shares in the US brought in roughly $50 million gross, supplemented by a $2.4 million reimbursement from the US government's Defense Production Act Title III program. Pro-forma liquidity now stands at approximately $84 million — a war chest that gives management considerably more runway than it had just weeks ago.

Those funds are earmarked for expanding the Titanium Manufacturing Center in Virginia and advancing the Tennessee titanium project. For investors, the question is whether that financial cushion can finally translate into the kind of operational momentum that moves the needle on the share price.

Production Capacity Triples as Operations Hit Full Stride

On the operational front, the company has been busy. A new six-axis, 300-ton press from SACMI is now operational in Virginia, tripling existing manufacturing capacity for titanium components and enabling more complex near-net-shape parts. The Virginia facilities are running around the clock, producing titanium powder using the company's proprietary HAMR technology. Scheduled furnace maintenance did temper output during the quarter, but management remains committed to reaching roughly 200 tonnes of annual capacity by the end of 2026.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying IperionX?

The latest quarterly report, covering the period through June 30, also confirmed the completion of the final feasibility study for the titanium project and the acquisition of the adjacent Atlas property in Tennessee — a move designed to build an integrated critical minerals platform.

The Market Remains Unimpressed

None of that has stopped the bleeding on the chart. The stock closed Friday at €1.86, up 1.61 percent on the day, but that modest gain does little to mask the broader damage. The shares sit 63.50 percent below their January high of €5.09, having touched a new 52-week low of €1.69 in late July. Year-to-date, the stock is down 40.26 percent, and over the past twelve months it has shed 44.62 percent of its value.

With a market capitalization of €669.41 million, the market has clearly repriced the company's prospects — the euphoria of earlier months has evaporated, replaced by a demand for cash flow rather than vision. The stock now trades just 9.78 percent above its 52-week low, a level that technical traders will be watching closely. A break below that mark could trigger another wave of selling.

A Technical Picture That Cuts Both Ways

The 14-day RSI stands at 34.2, edging toward the threshold where many market participants begin talking about oversold conditions. Some observers see that as a potential setup for a technical bounce. But with 30-day volatility running at over 73 percent annualized, the more honest read may be that sharp moves in either direction remain the norm. An oversold reading can just as easily be a pause before the next leg down as a precursor to a reversal.

Arima's Webinar Becomes the Next Catalyst

All eyes now turn to an investor webinar scheduled for August, where founder and CEO Taso Arima is expected to deliver a comprehensive corporate update. Management has signaled it will provide details on customer qualification programs in the defense and aerospace sectors, as well as the integration of the recently acquired Atlas mineral properties.

IperionX at a turning point? This analysis reveals what investors need to know now.

The stakes are considerable. Arima needs to show progress, certainly, but he also needs to offer a credible answer on commercialization timelines and the financing strategy going forward. With the capital raise now complete, the funding question may have shifted, but the market's underlying concern — just how capital-intensive will this build-out prove to be — remains unresolved.

The €1.69 level stands as the immediate test in the coming trading week. Hold it, and the stock may find some stability after weeks of heavy losses. Break it, and the search for a floor could continue. Either way, the webinar will likely determine which path the shares take next.
