The latest addition to the workspace furniture market comes from hobbiebox.de, which has introduced a large-format room-within-a-room system designed for teams of up to four. The Lykke Telephone Box L is pitched at companies looking to carve out quiet zones inside open-plan offices without undertaking structural renovations.
Weighing in at 570 kg and measuring 2200x1536x2300 mm, the unit is built as a permanent fixture rather than a temporary screen. The manufacturer highlights three protective qualities: sound insulation, water resistance and fireproofing, the latter being a relevant factor for commercial property compliance. At the listed price of 5,969.00 euros, the pod arrives without interior fittings — desks or sofas would need to be sourced separately if the space is to function as a full meeting room.
The launch sits alongside a broader push by Lykke into workplace seating, where several models have recently appeared with reduced price tags. The Lykke Deluxe office chair, for instance, was listed at 239.00 euros. It comes with an adjustable neck cushion, 3D armrests and a synchronised mechanism offering four locking positions. The chair weighs 19 kg and supports users up to 136 kg.
A more budget-oriented option, the Lykke Original office chair, was offered at 129.00 euros and includes a height-adjustable headrest plus a fixed lumbar support. Midway between the two sits the ergonomic Comfort model in green, priced at 299.00 euros. That version features a backrest adjustable in height by 52 mm and a seat depth range of 70 mm, with delivery expected from 21.09.2026.
Beyond seating and acoustic pods, the company is also catering to a growing interest in workplace recovery areas. The Lykke Pro massage chair, available for 1,090.00 euros, is equipped with eight massage heads, full-body air cushions and programmes for shiatsu, pressure and rolling massage, along with an integrated heating function. For lighter relaxation zones, the Lykke Standard recliner uses a push-back mechanism and sells for 189.00 euros.
The range also extends to less conventional pieces: the Fjord rocking chair at 139.00 euros and the Lykke Comfort hanging chair in anthracite, which was offered at 159.00 euros during discount promotions. The hanging chair carries EN581 certification and is rated for users up to 250 kg. Together, the product lineup reflects a wider shift among employers toward adaptable, health-conscious office layouts that allow staff to step away from their desks for genuine downtime.
