Connecting, Engaging and Empowering Kenyan Youth

BRUSSELS, 17 October 2024 / PRN Africa / -- ?The Youth Sounding Board (YSB) offers Kenyan youth a platform to inform EU policies and amplify diverse youth voices from all regions of Kenya.

The Youth Sounding Board (YSB) comprises 15 young Kenyan leaders, aged between 19 and 27 and representing their peers from different geographical and socio-economic backgrounds, including pastoralist communities, refugees and people with disabilities. The YSB is expected to serve as a platform for youth to engage in inclusive dialogue on the EU-Kenya partnership and advice on program implementation.

At the launch event, EU Ambassador to Kenya, H.E Henriette Geiger highlighted: “We want to have a continuous dialogue with young people. Our goal is to engage young people by giving them a voice in policy and decision-making. To empower them to lead sustainable change. And to connect them, amplifying their collective influence.”
