Four Deutz investors have pooled their holdings into a single voting bloc equal to 29.90% of the engine maker, regulatory filings published on Friday showed. BRIMA, J.O.S.S. Beteiligungsgesellschaft, Universum Holding and FFG Beteiligungsgesellschaft each reported the attributed stake, which rests on a voting-rights agreement rather than open-market purchases. The disclosures, tied to the acquisition of Flensburger Fahrzeugbau Gesellschaft, cover roughly 71.6 million voting rights and cite Thursday as the date the threshold was crossed. None of the filings reflects Deutz buying or selling its own shares.

The same Thursday brought a separate notification: chief executive Dr. Sebastian C. Schulte had picked up a Deutz derivative worth €3,800.00 two days earlier. A day before that, Deutz had reported around 240 million voting rights under section 41 of the German Securities Trading Act, following a capital measure that took effect on Wednesday. No multiple voting rights exist, the company said.

Nine-Month Orders Outpace Sales

The operational picture published on Thursday showed demand running well ahead of revenue. Order intake for the first nine months of 2026 reached €1.96 billion, up more than 30% year on year, while revenue rose about 11% to €1.67 billion. Adjusted EBIT climbed roughly 36% to €118.2 million, lifting the adjusted EBIT margin to 7.1% from 5.8%.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Deutz?

Management left its 2026 revenue guidance unchanged at €2.3 billion to €2.5 billion and pointed to an adjusted EBIT margin at the top end of the 6.5% to 8% corridor. For the defence segment, the now-completed FFG takeover is expected to add more than €1 billion in revenue in 2027 at an adjusted EBITDA margin above 20%.

Berenberg Reiterates, DZ Bank Trims

Berenberg restated its "Buy" rating and €16.50 price target on Friday, describing the third-quarter figures as mixed and flagging the early closing of the FFG deal. DZ Bank had already moved the previous day, cutting its fair value to €15 from €16 while keeping a "Buy" rating; analyst Thorsten Reigber pointed to the revaluation potential created by the FFG acquisition.

Deutz shares shed 2.0% on Friday to close at €9.27, a decline that dpa-AFX attributed to the global selloff in AI and semiconductor stocks rather than to company news. The MDAX fell in sympathy. Investors will next hear from the company on 30 March 2027, when the 2026 annual report is scheduled for release.
