AppLovin shares jumped 11% to €351.50, powered by third-quarter results and forward guidance that media reports say beat analyst expectations on both revenue and profit. Yet the session's most telling detail may sit away from the price chart: the analysts who updated their models on Thursday did not move in unison.

Wedbush lifted its price target to $600 from $560, placing the firm at the top of the range reported yesterday. Scotiabank went the other way, trimming its target to $450 from $515. Two other houses raised their marks to $450 as well — meaning the identical figure now signals growing confidence at some desks and scaled-back expectations at another. That divergence carries more weight than a simple count of upgrades. It points to a valuation debate that remains open even after a quarter of forceful growth.

Revenue and profit outpace expectations

The operating case for optimism is substantial. AppLovin reported third-quarter 2026 revenue of $2.185 billion, up 55% year over year. Net income reached $1.44 billion, a 72% increase, according to media reports — earnings growth that outstripped the top line, a combination that stands as the strongest argument in the bulls' favor.

Guidance sets a demanding bar. For the fourth quarter of 2026, management projected revenue of between $2.365 billion and $2.395 billion. The forecast gives the upbeat narrative substance, provided the company delivers on it.

Alongside the results, the board raised its share repurchase authorization by $3.2 billion, bringing the approved framework to $3.6 billion at the end of October. The disclosure covers an authorization, not buybacks already completed. A separate regulatory filing published October 29 showed CFO Matthew Stumpf acquiring 54,880 Class A shares in the form of restricted stock units; the transaction listed no share sale.

A redomiciliation and a court deadline

Shareholders holding roughly 67% of voting rights approved, by written consent, a move of the company's legal domicile from Delaware to Nevada. AppLovin said it will mail an information statement, with the conversion to take effect no earlier than 20 calendar days after that mailing begins.

On the legal front, Kaplan Fox & Kilsheimer announced Monday that a securities class action had been filed against AppLovin. The suit alleges misleading statements concerning development delays to a generative AI video feature and the pace of improvements to its AI models. These are allegations, not established violations. Investors seeking the role of lead plaintiff have until November 16, 2026 to step forward.

Whether the growth engine justifies the higher targets is the question that will be settled by the next set of numbers, not by the range of price objectives on the Street.
