Antimony Resources' C$3 Million Is in the Bank — Bald Hill's Drill Core Still Has to Prove the Story
Published on 11/04/2026 at 18:50 | Editorial boerse-global.deAntimony Resources has closed a private placement worth C$3.0 million gross, issuing 10.0 million units at C$0.30 apiece. The proceeds are earmarked for exploration and development at the Bald Hill antimony project as well as general working capital. That is the financial side of the ledger. The geological side rests on drill results released roughly three weeks ago from Bald Hill's Main Zone, where the company reported 4.36% antimony over 13.0 metres.
Investors would do well to keep the two apart. Capital buys work; it does not deliver findings. And a single high-grade intercept is no yardstick for the value of an entire project.
What the Raise Actually Bought
The gross figure deserves a closer look before it gets filed under "exploration budget." Because the proceeds also cover general working capital, the C$3.0 million is broader in purpose than pure drilling expenditure. The placement hands management room to manoeuvre — at the cost of a larger share count and the possibility of further issuance down the road.
Each unit consists of one share and half a warrant. A full warrant carries an exercise price of C$0.50, valid until 23 October 2028. Any dilution therefore hinges on a later exercise and must be kept distinct from the shares already outstanding. Treating potential exercise proceeds as though they were capital in hand would be premature.
Reading the Assays Together, Not in Isolation
Within the Main Zone results, Antimony Resources also flagged shorter intervals at considerably richer grades — among them 21.45% antimony over 1.10 metres. That headline number is not the whole story. What matters just as much is the length attached to it: a narrow high-grade sliver and a longer mineralised run describe two different things about a hole. The 21.45% figure illustrates precisely why peak grades should not be taken as a proxy for the Main Zone as a whole.
Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Antimony Resources?
The company's own interpretation points to high-grade mineralisation extending toward the Central Zone. Whether that connection holds up is the real test. A confirmed link would carry more weight than any single rich sub-interval viewed on its own — and that is the standard against which future announcements ought to be judged.
GBC's Target: An Expectation, Not a Result
On 16 October, GBC published research reiterating a Buy recommendation with a price target of CAD 2.52, on a horizon running to 31 December 2027. It was a refreshed view rather than a newly announced upgrade.
A price target is a forecast, not a project value already achieved. It can illustrate a bullish case; it cannot substitute for the evidence that case requires. The question for shareholders stays concrete: what will the money just raised actually turn up at Bald Hill? The placement supplies the means, the drilling supplies the geological signposts — and only further development can add support to the optimistic thesis.
Two Risks That Capital Doesn't Cure
The downside scenario is straightforward: further work fails to substantiate the hoped-for continuity of mineralisation. The financing would still be complete, but its significance for a stronger geological read would be smaller than in the favourable case. Money in the treasury and exploration success are separate variables.
Warrant terms belong in any assessment of the capital measure, alongside the immediate cash inflow. Exercise is not guaranteed, and any resulting proceeds cannot be booked as secured. For existing holders, the options feed into the same calculation as future capital needs and further share issuance. A successful raise removes neither that uncertainty nor the risk of disappointing drill results.
What Would Actually Move the Dial
Additional assay results or other concrete word on exploration progress are the obvious next catalysts. Their value lies in what they contribute to the spatial picture — how the mineralisation sits together. A simple restatement of grades already known would leave the central question unanswered.
So the choice facing investors is clean: back the current interpretation, or wait for more geological proof. The completed financing supports the path toward such answers. Whether it also justifies a sturdier valuation is for the drill core to decide.
