Adidas Floods the Zone Before Its Nine-Month Close-Out
Published on 10/20/2026 at 15:21 | Editorial boerse-global.deAdidas is stacking product launches across nearly every category it competes in, and the timing is no accident. With nine-month results due on October 29, the Herzogenaurach-based sportswear maker has spent the past two weeks rolling out footwear, outerwear and golf gear while staging a brand showcase in Shanghai — a burst of activity designed to keep the pipeline visible right up to the earnings date.
The most recent piece landed today, when Adidas Originals unveiled the debut collection of its adiSignature line, designed in collaboration with Willy Chavarria. The range goes on sale October 23, 2026, with individual pieces priced between 45 and 100 euros. It is the latest step in the company's push to fuse athletic wear with high-end fashion design and reach shoppers beyond its traditional sports audience.
Shanghai Sets the Tone for Spring/Summer 2027
One day earlier, Adidas used Shanghai as the stage for "FUTURE OF THREE," an immersive brand event built to merge sport, culture and fresh design perspectives. Among the highlights were collections for spring and summer 2027, signaling that management is already looking two seasons ahead.
The cold-weather lineup has been moving in parallel. On Thursday the company introduced the Ultimate365+ Course Control Layering golf collection, engineered for low temperatures with soft-knit fabric and CLIMAWARM+ insulation. On the streetwear side, Adidas and the fashion label Arte Antwerp rolled out the third drop of their joint winter line, built around warming outerwear.
Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Adidas?
Footwear has been just as busy. Adidas Basketball confirmed on October 13 the return of the Harden Vol. 1 "Pioneer," fitted with a reworked Hyperboost midsole. Around the same time, a Gazelle Indoor variant in Solar Gold arrived through a collaboration with Bad Bunny. And two new colorways of the VIRGINIA Adistar Jellyfish, developed with Pharrell Williams, are set for a worldwide release on October 24 at USD 300.
What the Market Is Pricing In
Media reports point to analysts expecting average third-quarter 2026 revenue of EUR 7.11 billion and earnings per share of EUR 2.98. Those figures reflect market expectations rather than any official company guidance, and the October 29 disclosure should reveal how the global business actually performed — with operating profitability and demand trends drawing particular scrutiny.
The shares have firmed up after a soft start to the week. Yesterday afternoon the stock slipped in Xetra trading without any company-specific trigger emerging, according to media accounts. Today it is trading 1.2% higher at EUR 159.05, putting it 6.5% above its 50-day moving average. The advance follows a 1.0% gain to EUR 158.65 in earlier trading that had already lifted the stock past that 149.38-euro moving average.
Adidas at a turning point? This analysis reveals what investors need to know now.
For investors, the countdown to October 29 is now the main event. The coming report should show how much of this crowded slate of launches and brand moments is actually converting into the 2026 numbers.
