2G Energy Insiders Buy as Analysts Flag a Second-Half Profit Mountain
Published on 10/29/2026 at 20:21 | Editorial boerse-global.deTwo purchases by board-linked parties landed within days of 2G Energy's half-year report, a filing that put the combined group's earnings heavily back-end loaded for 2026.
The SHH Spring Hunter Holdings GmbH, a company closely tied to supervisory board member Dr. Lukas Lenz, acquired 2G Energy shares on 16 October across three separate transactions worth a combined EUR 123,275. The three mandatory disclosures covering the trades were published on 19 October, and all of the purchases fell on the same trading day.
Separately, finance chief Friedrich Pehle had already bought stock on 13 October through a joint account held with Daniela Lohmann-Pehle. That disclosure, released on 15 October, put the acquisition at 100 shares for a total of EUR 5,600.
A First Half That Leaves Almost Everything to the Finish
The buying came just after 2G Energy published its 2026 half-year report on 15 October. Group revenue for the first six months came in at EUR 136.0 million, with earnings before interest and taxes of EUR 0.8 million. The year-earlier comparison shows how steep the drop was: revenue had reached EUR 169.9 million and EBIT EUR 5.7 million in the same period of 2025.
Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying 2G Energy?
Parmantier & Cie. crunched the numbers the same day and concluded that roughly 98% of the EBIT forecast for the full 2026 year would have to be generated in the second half. The first-half EBIT margin works out to 0.6%, against a full-year target of 9.5% to 10.5% that management reaffirmed.
On revenue, the company kept its guidance range of EUR 440 million to EUR 490 million for the year as a whole.
Order Book Visibility Without a Delivery Schedule
An analysis published about two weeks ago, cited in media reports, pointed to the 0.6% half-year EBIT margin and argued that the second half must deliver nearly all of the annual operating result for the confirmed guidance to be met. The research also highlighted an order backlog exceeding EUR 600 million, noting that it is not broken down by delivery year — a gap it tied directly to the weight resting on the closing months.
