ZimVie Inc. is poised to conclude its tenure as a publicly traded entity after shareholders formally approved its acquisition by private equity firm ARCHIMED. The transaction, scheduled for completion on October 20, has now cleared its final significant obstacle.

Investors will receive $19.00 per common share in cash, representing a substantial premium of approximately 99% over the stock’s 90-day average trading price prior to the acquisition announcement. This values the entire company at around $730 million.

The $19.00 per share purchase price notably exceeds the average analyst price target of $17.75. Market observers had maintained a cautious stance toward the stock, with five analysts most recently issuing “reduce” recommendations. ARCHIMED’s offer, however, delivers an unexpectedly favorable outcome for shareholders.
