On the European travel medicine front, Valneva is also attending as a gold sponsor and exhibitor, targeting not just financial audiences but also medical professionals. The central talking point: LB6V, the Lyme disease vaccine candidate formerly known as VLA15, which Pfizer is developing in partnership with Valneva. Strong phase 3 efficacy data — with no safety signals — have cleared the path for regulatory submissions, and the management team will use the series of investor meetings to underscore the programme’s commercial promise.

The commercial side of the business, however, is struggling. First?quarter revenue tumbled 37% year on year, producing a net loss of €32.1 million. Full?year consensus estimates point to a loss of roughly €67 million on sales of €152 million, while Valneva’s own guidance of €135–150 million falls just short of that range.
