Uranium Energy Corp. (UEC) has achieved a significant milestone in its expansion plan, moving closer to its goal of becoming America's sole vertically integrated uranium producer. This follows shareholder approval at Anfield Energy that grants UEC a controlling interest, a move that secures access to a critical piece of licensed processing infrastructure within the United States.

Financial Strength and Market Tailwinds

The company operates from a position of notable financial health. Its balance sheet carries no debt and is supported by substantial liquid assets and physical uranium inventories. Management's deliberate decision to avoid hedging against price fluctuations means the firm stands to benefit directly from rising market prices.

This strategy aligns with a favorable macroeconomic environment. Increasing electricity demand, driven in part by the power needs of AI data centers and broader electrification trends, is fueling a nuclear power renaissance. UEC's shares, currently trading at 13.08 Euros, reflect this momentum with an approximate 17 percent gain since the start of the year.

Securing a Strategic Asset: The Shootaring Canyon Mill

The core of this strategic advancement is the acquisition of control over Anfield Energy, which holds the Shootaring Canyon Mill in Utah. This facility is one of the very few conventional uranium mills in the country that possesses an active license. For Uranium Energy, controlling this mill is the central component for unifying its entire supply chain—from mining operations in Wyoming and Texas through to final processing—under one corporate umbrella. This vertical integration would significantly reduce reliance on third-party processors.

Path to a Controlling Stake

Anfield Energy confirmed on Monday that its shareholders have approved Uranium Energy's status as a controlling entity. This decision comes after a strategic private placement that raised $4 million for Anfield. Through direct investments, UEC already holds approximately 28.8 percent of Anfield. This stake could potentially increase to nearly 37 percent upon the full exercise of existing options and warrants.

Investor Focus Shifts to Execution

The next key date for market participants is March 18, 2026, when the company's upcoming quarterly report is scheduled for release. This report is anticipated to provide crucial insights into whether production ramp-ups are proceeding according to plan and if operational execution remains aligned with the firm's strategic ambitions.
