Tocvan Ventures Advances Mexican Gold-Silver Project with New Survey Data

Tocvan Ventures completes drone magnetic survey and secures 10-year permits for its Gran Pilar project in Mexico, targeting a maiden resource estimate by end-2026.

Tocvan Ventures is progressing its Gran Pilar gold-silver asset in Sonora, Mexico, toward an initial resource estimate by the end of this year. A key step in this process was recently completed with an extensive drone-based magnetic survey over the property.

Enhanced Targeting from Aerial Survey

The company has finished gathering high-resolution geophysical data across approximately 236 line-kilometers at Gran Pilar. This drone-flown magnetic survey is designed to create a detailed subsurface model. By integrating these new magnetic readings with the project's existing geological information, Tocvan aims to pinpoint drill targets with greater accuracy for its upcoming campaigns. This refined approach is expected to lower both operational risk and exploration costs by improving the precision of future drilling.

Operational Permits in Hand for Pilot Plant

Alongside this technical work, Tocvan is advancing on the operational front. The management team has secured all necessary permits for a planned pilot mining operation at Gran Pilar. These authorizations are valid for a decade and allow for the processing of up to 50,000 tonnes of material using heap leach methods. A specific site for the required hydrometallurgical facilities has already been designated within the project area.

Market Performance and Forward Plan

Despite these operational advancements, the company's shares have faced recent pressure. On the last trading day, the stock declined by nearly 12 percent to 0.42 euros. Over a 30-day period, the equity has retreated approximately 33 percent in value. This market activity occurs as Tocvan continues its transition from an exploration-focused company to a future producer.

The roadmap for Gran Pilar is clearly outlined. An extensive drilling program totaling 20,000 meters is scheduled for 2026 to expand the known mineralization. The data from this and previous work will form the basis for the project's first formal resource estimate, targeted for completion by the end of 2026. This resource calculation will subsequently serve as the foundation for a Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) to evaluate the project's potential economics.
