The company is joining forces with Lightmatter, a developer of photonic supercomputers, signaling a strategic push into next-generation hardware.

The partnership centers on integrating Synopsys’s advanced 224G SerDes and UCIe intellectual property, designed for a 3-nanometer process node, into Lightmatter’s platform. The joint initiative aims to accelerate the development of Co-Packaged Optics technology.
