Strategic Alliance with Nvidia Fuels Nebius Group's AI Infrastructure Ambitions

A major strategic investment from semiconductor leader Nvidia has positioned Nebius Group to accelerate its bid to dominate next-generation data center infrastructure. The partnership, coupled with recently disclosed annual results for 2025, underscores a period of transformative growth for the AI infrastructure provider.
Financial Performance Signals a Powerful Turnaround
The fundamental case for Nebius’s aggressive expansion is supported by its latest financial disclosures for fiscal year 2025, which highlight a dramatic operational shift:
- Annual Revenue: $529.8 million, representing a staggering 479% increase year-over-year.
- Net Income: $29.0 million, a sharp reversal from a $352 million loss in 2024.
- Operating Cash Flow: A robust $401.9 million.
This financial momentum is backed by a substantial order book. The company has already secured over $20 billion in commitments from two leading U.S. cloud providers. Management aims to expand its contracted data center capacity to three gigawatts by the end of 2026, with the annualized revenue run-rate projected to climb from a recent $1.25 billion to between $7 and $9 billion.
A Billion-Dollar Vote of Confidence from Nvidia
Last week, Nvidia announced plans to invest $2 billion in Nebius through warrants. Upon exercise, the chip giant would hold approximately 7.7% of the company’s shares. The market responded immediately, driving the stock price up by 16%.
The collaboration extends far beyond capital. Nebius gains early access to Nvidia’s upcoming Rubin platform, Vera processors, and BlueField storage systems—hardware deemed critical for processing complex AI workloads efficiently. The two firms have set a joint goal to bring data centers with a total capacity exceeding five gigawatts online by 2030.

Accelerating the North American Footprint
A key component of this strategy is taking shape in Independence, Missouri. In early March, the city council approved plans for a massive AI factory campus spanning roughly 160 hectares, with a planned capacity of up to 1.2 gigawatts.
To spearhead its North American growth, Nebius has appointed Dan Lawrence to lead its Americas business. His mandate is to drive the commercialization of the company’s gigawatt-scale AI capacity to large enterprise customers and software developers across the U.S. market.
With global demand for dedicated AI infrastructure significantly outstripping supply, the fresh capital and technological edge from Nvidia are expected to allow Nebius to fast-track data center construction. This acceleration will help convert its enormous order backlog into realized revenue more swiftly. Market researchers already forecast the company’s revenue could surge to $3.35 billion by 2026.
