Star Copper's Latest Drilling Campaign Reveals Expanding Mineral System

Star Copper reports strong drill results extending the Star Main Zone, backed by $7.31M funding for 2026 drilling. Assays show broad, consistent copper-gold intercepts.

Exploration company Star Copper has released the initial assay results from its 2025 Phase 2 program at the Star project in British Columbia. The findings indicate significant extensions of mineralization beyond the previously known Star Main Zone, suggesting the mineralized system remains open in multiple directions.

Funding Secured for Aggressive 2026 Agenda

In a strategic move to accelerate resource definition, Star Copper successfully closed an oversubscribed flow-through financing in early March 2026, raising CAD $7.31 million. These funds are earmarked specifically for an intensive drilling campaign scheduled for 2026 at the Star property. The company's exploration planning for the coming year will be further refined pending results from the Copper Creek and Star North target areas.

Detailed Drill Results Highlight Consistency

The current analysis is based on six drill holes, numbered S-056 through S-061. The results demonstrate both grade and scale.

Notably, drill hole S-060 intersected 80.30 meters grading 0.508% copper equivalent (CuEq), contained within a much broader intercept of 317 meters at 0.291% CuEq. Hole S-059 returned 109.65 meters of 0.391% CuEq. Perhaps most impressive for its scale, hole S-056 showed 542 meters at 0.139% CuEq, which included a higher-grade core of 103 meters grading 0.350% CuEq.

Geological Continuity Provides Confidence

A key takeaway for the company is the repeatable nature of the mineralization. Star Copper emphasizes that wherever specific geological markers are present—such as potassic alteration and quartz-sulfide veining—consistent, broad intervals of copper-gold mineralization are encountered. This geological predictability provides a solid foundation for sequencing future exploration work and offers increased planning certainty for upcoming campaigns aimed at expanding the resource base.
