Following a successful capital raise and strategic adjustments to its leadership team, South Atlantic Gold is poised to execute its next major operational phase. The junior explorer is shifting its focus to the technical implementation of what stands as its most ambitious drilling program to date in Brazil. The core objective is to determine if the depth extension of the Pedra-Branca project holds the key to a substantial resource expansion.

A Deep Dive into Pedra Branca's Potential

The planned Phase III program, set to commence in April 2026, will deploy two drill rigs to complete 5,000 meters of diamond core drilling. A primary target is the Queimadas area. Previous drilling here has largely focused on near-surface mineralization; the forthcoming campaign is designed to test its downward continuity. Concurrently, high-grade vein structures at the Igrejinha and Mirador targets will also be examined.

The geological model suggests the presence of orogenic gold deposits at Pedra Branca. Such deposit types, found in analogous formations globally, are frequently known for their significant vertical extent. The upcoming drill results will be crucial in answering whether this deep-seated potential can elevate the project to a new scale.

In preparation for the drilling, the company's technical team is currently analyzing and integrating a comprehensive dataset.
