The audio technology company Sonos has broken a lengthy hardware drought with the introduction of a new product aimed squarely at professional integrators. This launch coincides with significant board-level appointments and precedes the imminent release of quarterly financial results, signaling a strategic shift for the firm.

Ahead of its product reveal, Sonos undertook a reshuffle of its board of directors. In mid-January, Carmine Arabia, Mandy Fields, and Joe Kennedy were appointed as new directors. Their collective expertise in finance and technology platforms is intended to bolster the company's strategy for its next phase of growth.

Investors will soon gain a clearer picture of the company's financial health. Sonos is scheduled to report its results for the first quarter of fiscal year 2026 after the U.S. market closes on Tuesday, February 3, 2026. This reporting period covers the critical holiday quarter ending December 27, 2025. Management will host a conference call with analysts at 22:30 Central European Time to discuss the figures.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Sonos?

Amp Multi Aims at Complex Installations

The newly unveiled product, named the Sonos Amp Multi, is a multi-channel streaming amplifier designed specifically for professional installers. It represents the company's first new hardware release in more than twelve months. The device is engineered to simplify sophisticated audio installations in residential settings, offering more flexible solutions for specialist trade businesses.

An official demonstration of the amplifier is planned for the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) trade show, which runs from February 3 to February 6. Global availability through installation partners is expected to follow in the coming months.

Building a Foundation for Future Growth

With this new hardware and refreshed leadership, Sonos is laying the groundwork for its 2026 fiscal year. Company executives have indicated that the pace of new hardware introductions is expected to increase further in the second half of 2026. The upcoming quarterly report on Tuesday, February 3, will provide crucial insight into the current financial stability supporting this planned expansion.
