Six Franconian Employers Earn Quality Seal for Workplace Culture in 2026

Great Place To Work awards six Franconian companies 'Best Employers in Bavaria 2026'; European honors for Andersen and Evosys Laser; new 'TOP Company' certification in Niederbayern.

The battle for skilled workers is intensifying across Germany, and certified workplace awards are emerging as a strategic recruitment tool. Great Place To Work has recognized six companies from Franconia with its “Best Employers in Bavaria 2026” seal, based on anonymous employee surveys measuring leadership style, trust, and fairness.

The winners span a wide range of industries and employee counts. In Nuremberg, three firms stood out: Evenord-Bank eG-KG with 41 staff, I.K. Hoffmann GmbH, and Weissmann & Cie. GmbH which employs 21 people. From Erlangen, Spirit Link GmbH made the list, while Würzburg contributed the PENTADOC AG (57 employees). The largest Franconian recipient is Siemens Healthineers AG at its Forchheim site, which has 16,344 employees. The results underline that a positive corporate culture is not tied to company size.

Separately, in spring 2026, European honors were also announced. The Financial Times and Statista ranked Andersen among Europe’s best employers for 2026, evaluating 1,000 companies on development opportunities and general working conditions. Meanwhile, Evosys Laser GmbH of Erlangen, a specialist in laser welding systems, received the TOP 100 seal for the fifth time. The company will officially accept the award on June 26, 2026, at the German Mittelstand Summit in Heidelberg.

For companies elsewhere in Bavaria, additional certification opportunities are opening up. The district of Rottal-Inn and the Niederbayernforum have called for applications for the title “TOP Company Niederbayern 2026”. Submissions must be in by July 10, 2026, and the prize ceremony is scheduled for October 28, 2026, in Bad Birnbach.

Industry observers, including the BDU, note a challenging environment in personnel consulting. While coaching and diagnostics are growing, the classic executive-search segment has recently seen slight declines. Against this tight labor market, certified employer seals are becoming a practical tool for attracting qualified professionals — a point underscored by the two promotional guides embedded in the original announcement, offering steps for companies seeking their own certification.
