Silver Viper's stock rebounds 18% on record El Rubi drill intercepts and a $15M acquisition of the Coneto project, adding 538k gold-equivalent ounces to its Mexico portfolio.

Investor interest in Silver Viper has reignited with significant force, breaking a prolonged period of subdued trading activity. The renewed momentum is being driven by two concurrent and substantial developments: exceptional drill results from its Sonora operations and a strategic acquisition that substantially expands its asset base within Mexico's prolific silver belt.

Strategic Acquisition Adds Immediate Scale

Complementing its operational progress, the company has executed a major portfolio expansion through acquisition. Silver Viper has agreed to fully acquire the Coneto project in Durango from Fresnillo and Orex Minerals for approximately $15 million. This transaction provides the explorer with an immediate, derived resource base of 538,000 gold-equivalent ounces in a well-established mining district.

The market's response to this aggressive growth strategy has been notably positive. After touching a 52-week low of €0.59 on March 20, the stock has rebounded sharply, climbing nearly 18% over the past seven days to recent levels around €0.72. Technical indicators suggest strong buying momentum, with a current RSI reading of 76.6 pointing to potentially overbought conditions in the near term.

Record-Breaking Drill Intercepts at El Rubi

The primary source of recent optimism stems from the company's La Virginia project. Infill drilling within the El Rubi zone has yielded outstanding results, including a highlight intercept of 11.70 meters grading 9.18 grams per tonne gold and 352 grams per tonne silver. An exceptionally high-grade core section within this interval returned half a meter at 183.50 grams per tonne gold. These figures rank among the most impressive ever recorded across the entire project area.

In response to these strong results, management has decided to expand the originally planned 5,000-meter drill program. The additional meters will aim to better define the potential depth and strike extensions of the mineralization.

A Focus on Upcoming Catalysts

Looking ahead to the second quarter of 2026, two key milestones are in focus. The first is the formal completion of the Coneto project acquisition. The second involves ongoing work to convert the derived resources at El Rubi into more confident resource categories through continued drilling. Successfully transitioning from pure exploration to tangible resource definition could provide a more solid fundamental foundation for the current share price recovery.
