Investors in Silver Viper Minerals Corp. are anticipating a significant corporate development, with the company scheduled to release an updated mineral resource estimate in the second quarter of 2026. This new assessment will focus on the La Virginia gold-silver project located in Sonora, Mexico.

Share Performance and Upcoming Catalyst

Despite these operational preparations, the company's equity has faced substantial market pressure. Since the start of the year, the stock has declined by approximately 51 percent and is currently trading near its 52-week low. The impending resource update is therefore viewed as a pivotal potential catalyst. The market's reaction will hinge on whether the new data confirms the project's geological promise or disappoints investors expecting a material upgrade to the deposit's valuation.

Extensive Drilling Informs New Estimate

The foundation for the forthcoming estimate is a substantial drilling campaign comprising 18 holes and over 5,600 meters. Particularly notable results came from drill hole LV26-345, which intersected 11.70 meters grading 9.18 grams per tonne gold and 352.0 grams per tonne silver. These assay results are significantly higher than the average grade of the existing resource model.

For context, the previous resource calculation from 2021 outlined indicated resources of 154,000 ounces of gold at 0.78 g/t and 6.92 million ounces of silver at 35 g/t. Inferred resources were estimated at 260,000 ounces of gold and 12.94 million ounces of silver. The current drilling program aims to refine and potentially expand these figures.

Concurrent Transaction with Orex Minerals

In a separate but concurrent development, a planned transaction concerning the Coneto project is underway. As part of this agreement, Orex Minerals is set to receive approximately 9.9 million shares of Silver Viper, a stake valued at roughly USD 15 million. Finalization of this arrangement remains subject to approval by the TSX Venture Exchange.
