Silver Viper Minerals reveals new high-grade drill results from Mexico's La Virginia project, advancing toward a 2026 resource update following a strategic acquisition from Orex Minerals.

Silver Viper Minerals Corp. has released a fresh set of assay results from its La Virginia gold-silver project in Mexico, revealing several high-grade intercepts. The announcement arrives at a pivotal moment for the company, which is progressing toward an updated resource estimate and recently bolstered its portfolio through a multi-million dollar acquisition.

Strategic Expansion and Upcoming Catalyst

The company is currently integrating new data into an updated mineral resource estimate for La Virginia, scheduled for publication in the second quarter of 2026. This will supersede the existing 2021 model, which outlined indicated resources of 154,000 ounces of gold and nearly seven million ounces of silver, alongside additional inferred resources. The latest drilling campaign was specifically designed to better define the extent of known mineralization, providing critical information to expand that foundational resource.

High-Grade Drill Results Detailed

A recent exploration program consisting of 18 drill holes, totaling approximately 5,646 meters, has yielded significant precious metal intersections. Two holes, in particular, returned standout grades:

• Hole LV26-345 cut 11.70 meters grading 9.18 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 352.0 g/t silver. Within this broader interval was an exceptionally high-grade core of 0.5 meters assaying 183.5 g/t gold and 6,850 g/t silver.
• Hole LV26-344 intersected 2.60 meters containing 50.66 g/t gold and 158.1 g/t silver. This section also included a compact 0.6-meter core grading 208.0 g/t gold and 435.0 g/t silver.

Corporate Synergies with Orex Minerals

These operational developments are of direct interest to Orex Minerals Inc. following a transaction announced in mid-March. Under the agreement, Orex is selling its Coneto project to Silver Viper in exchange for approximately 9.9 million shares of Silver Viper, a stake valued at roughly $15 million USD. This deal effectively ties Orex's financial interest to the future operational success and resource growth at Silver Viper's projects.

The forthcoming resource update will quantify the impact of these new high-grade hits, establishing a revised basis for evaluating the potential of the Mexican precious metals asset.
