Silver Viper Expands Drilling to Upgrade Resource Confidence

Silver Viper intensifies drilling at its La Virginia project in Mexico, reporting high-grade intercepts and resource upgrades, despite a significant year-to-date share price decline.

Exploration firm Silver Viper Minerals Corp. is intensifying development at its flagship La Virginia project in Mexico. Recent drilling results from the Sonora region continue to support the asset's geological potential. The company's management has now decided to strategically expand its ongoing drill campaigns to better define the known resources.

Operational Momentum Amid Market Pressure

Despite steady operational progress, Silver Viper's shares have faced significant headwinds in the market this year. Since January, the equity has declined by over 52 percent, hitting a fresh 52-week low of €0.59 on March 20. A modest gain of just over five percent in the last week, closing at €0.64 this past Friday, suggests a tentative stabilization may be underway.

The company's activities in Sonora align with a broader regional shift. Presently, numerous mining operators in Mexico are revising their resource models and drilling permits to enhance the geological understanding of their local holdings.

Detailed Drilling Advances at Key Zones

Work at the El Molino zone has yielded solid intercepts. These include a 3.5-meter section grading 1.25 grams of gold and 25 grams of silver per tonne, alongside a separate 3.2-meter interval assaying 1.66 grams of gold per tonne. These findings are part of a 1,026-meter program focused on this specific area.

Concurrently, an infill drilling initiative is progressing at the El Rubi zone. By the end of March, the team had already completed 4,620 meters of drilling there. The decision to extend the program beyond the initially planned 5,000 meters is aimed at converting inferred resources into the higher-confidence category of indicated resources. This upgrade is a critical step in advancing the project's economic assessment.
