A decisive bounce from a weekly low has put a spring in the step of ServiceNow investors. The stock closed Friday at $95.07, up 5.05% on heavy volume that pointed to robust institutional buying. That rally lifted the shares well clear of the $87.44 trough hit earlier in the week, and technicians are now eyeing the psychologically important $100 barrier as the next hurdle. Below, the $92 zone has emerged as first support.

The catalyst? A strategic pivot from generative AI assistants to autonomous agents that can execute entire workflows without human intervention. The company used its annual Knowledge 2026 conference in Las Vegas to unveil what it calls the "Agentic Era." At the heart of the shift is the AI Control Tower, a unified platform designed to orchestrate disparate AI tools, data flows and models across an enterprise. ServiceNow Otto, the existing virtual assistant, will serve as the front door, but the Control Tower is the real commercial engine.

That orchestration pitch is already winning over blue-chip customers. A multi-year agreement with Experian will see autonomous agents handle employee onboarding and external risk management — less flashy than a chatbot, perhaps, but far closer to corporate budgeting reality. Meanwhile, an expanded partnership with FedEx Dataworks routes logistics data directly into procurement processes, giving companies greater visibility into supply chains and more automation in purchasing cycles. A separate tie-up with Boomi, along with the Workflow Data Network Passport Program, underscores ServiceNow's ambition to turn scattered AI experiments into a single, steerable operating system for business operations.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying ServiceNow?

The numbers back up the narrative. For the first quarter, ServiceNow reported revenue of $3.77 billion, up 22.1% year on year and ahead of consensus. AI-specific revenue for 2026 was guided higher from $1.0 billion to $1.5 billion, powered by accelerating adoption of Now Assist. That concrete uplift gives the AI story more weight than mere product announcements. The long-term target remains intact: $30 billion in subscription revenue by 2030, with roughly 30% of that annual contract value attributable directly to new, AI-native platform features.

Analysts remain split on valuation. KeyCorp set a cautious target of $85, while Bernstein sees the stock reaching as high as $236, anchored on the projected 2030 financial profile. The wide spread reflects the uncertainty around how quickly the agentic shift translates to billings growth.

The coming days serve up a packed calendar of catalysts. On Tuesday, ServiceNow will present at a global technology, media and communications conference, where management is expected to field questions on the commercial rollout of AI agents. Wednesday brings US retail sales data, a macro read that could influence the entire software sector. Then on Thursday, May 21, the company holds its virtual annual general meeting. Shareholders will vote on the election of nine board members, most notably the proposed addition of Zoom CEO Eric Yuan as an independent director. A separate proposal on conducting business by written consent — which the board recommends rejecting — also goes to a vote.

Technically, the stock's recovery from the recent low has been swift, but the test will come if it can sustain above $92. Below that level, the relief rally loses credibility. Above it, the path toward triple-digit territory looks viable, and the AI agent story is still early enough to keep momentum alive.
