A traditional manufacturer in Saxony has turned its fortunes around just three months after filing for insolvency. OKA, a long-established office furniture company based in Neugersdorf, resumed production on July 1 under a new corporate structure. A newly formed entity — OKA Neue Büromöbel i.Gr. — acquired the firm through an asset deal, allowing operations to restart immediately. More than 200 employees had been affected when the company filed for insolvency on April 1, 2026. Over 100 of them have now returned to work.

The revival of OKA comes as the office equipment market experiences a parallel wave of activity on the technology side. While the furniture segment stabilizes, display makers are flooding the market with new monitors designed for modern workplaces — blending ergonomic adjustability, high resolution, and connectivity.

ViewSonic announced the VG2719U-4K, a 27-inch 4K IPS monitor with a height adjustment range of 150 millimeters and a pivot function, including a built-in USB-C docking station delivering 96 watts of charging power. The company offers a five-year advance replacement service. Philips countered with the 34B2U3600C, a 34-inch curved UWQHD monitor that pairs a VA panel running at 120 Hz with USB-C (90-watt Power Delivery) and an integrated RJ45 Ethernet port. Japanese brand JAPANNEXT entered the fray with the JN-IPS34UQ2-C6, available in its home market since July 2 and featuring a built-in KVM switch.

Upmarket, OLED panels are gaining traction among professional users. Asus released the ProArt PA27USD and PA32USD in July, both 4K OLED monitors equipped with a motorized colorimeter for automatic calibration and support for Dolby Vision and HDR10. AOC is set to launch the AGON PRO AGP277QKDC in late August 2026, employing a fourth-generation tandem WOLED panel. A dual-frame mode lets users toggle between QHD at 540 Hz and HD at 720 Hz. LG, meanwhile, is pushing its MLA+ (Micro Lens Array) technology, aiming for peak brightness levels up to 1,300 nits. Mass production of new 4K OLED panels with an RGB stripe structure has reportedly started.

All-in-one systems also saw updates. Lenovo’s Yoga AIO 27IPH11 runs on Intel Core Ultra processors with an integrated NPU for AI workloads, featuring a 27-inch WQHD display at 120 Hz. Philips launched a summer campaign for the education sector, offering rebates on selected Evnia models through the end of September. Hisense scheduled a promotional event for July 9 on its N3G Pro series, with fast-IPS panels at 180 Hz priced under 100 euros.
