Robotics Sector Buzz Fails to Lift Humanoid Global Shares

Canadian investor Humanoid Global sees shares slide to C$0.29, down 21% monthly, even as humanoid robots gain traction at airports and auto plants. Thin liquidity and technical strain weigh.

Robots are loading luggage at Tokyo’s Haneda Airport and helping assemble BMWs in South Carolina, yet the stock of the company that placed a small bet on one of the sector’s most talked?about startups is tumbling. Humanoid Global, the Canadian investor with a portfolio stake in Apptronik, saw its shares slide 14.7% over the past week to close at C$0.29 on Friday, bringing the monthly decline to roughly 21%.

The disconnect between industry momentum and the company’s market performance is stark. Japan Airlines began testing 35?kilogram humanoid robots at Haneda in May 2026, using them for baggage handling and cabin cleaning at around US$15,400 per unit. BMW ran a successful 11?month pilot with two Figure AI robots at its Spartanburg plant, contributing to the production of more than 30,000 vehicles. Toyota Canada is deploying models from Agility, and Boston Dynamics has already sold out its entire 2026 production run.

Humanoid Global’s indirect exposure to this wave comes through its US$64,500 investment in Apptronik, the developer of the Apollo robot. The startup recently closed a US$520 million funding round led by Google, Mercedes?Benz and John Deere, pushing its valuation past US$5.5 billion. Apptronik plans to use the capital for series production of Apollo, new AI training facilities and a fresh robot platform expected later this year.

Yet the stock’s charts tell a different story. Friday’s session saw only 10,680 shares change hands, well below the 20?day average of 36,012, highlighting how thin liquidity can amplify moves. The critical support level at C$0.29 held for now, but a break below that would send the stock into uncharted territory. Resistance stands at C$0.30, with the next hurdle at C$0.34 – the previous week’s closing price.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Humanoid?

Technical indicators underscore the strain. The 50?day moving average sits at C$0.44 and the 200?day average at C$0.76, placing Friday’s close 34% and 62% below those marks, respectively. The relative strength index has dropped to 24.76, signalling an oversold condition.

The company’s fundamentals add context. Market capitalisation stands at C$13.17 million, with C$5.10 million in cash and just C$291,538 in debt, yielding a net cash position of C$4.80 million. However, the trailing twelve?month net loss runs to C$5.17 million, and the operating result is negative C$5.31 million.

On a 52?week basis, the stock has surged 321%, with a range that extends from C$0.085 to C$2.29 (a wider one?year span of C$0.06 has also been cited). The year?to?date picture is more subdued, with a gain of 76%. The volatility has been extreme, and the current price reflects a steep correction from the highs.

Humanoid at a turning point? This analysis reveals what investors need to know now.

Management is expected to pursue a strategic acquisition or joint venture in the near term to bolster its position in embodied AI. The overall humanoid robot market is forecast to reach roughly US$200 billion by 2035. For now, though, investors are focused on whether C$0.29 can hold as support without fresh corporate news to change the narrative.
