The RBC PH&N Short Term Canadian Bond ETF has officially ceased operations, marking the end of its lifecycle. This move, part of a broader strategic portfolio optimization by RBC Global Asset Management, leaves investors in the Canadian fixed-income market seeking new alternatives. The fund's liquidation process was finalized in September of last year.

A Look at the Wind-Down Process

Investors received their final pro-rata distributions following the sale of all the fund's underlying assets. The closure was executed according to plan on September 12, 2025, with the fund halting the acceptance of any new subscriptions from mid-August of the preceding year.

During its operational life, the ETF aimed to track the performance of the FTSE TMX Canada Short Term Overall Bond Index. Its portfolio was constructed with a focus on low-risk, short-duration Canadian government and corporate bonds, featuring maturities ranging from one to five years. The fund carried a management expense ratio (MER) of 0.39% and was rated AA, reflecting its high credit quality.
