The explosion took place on July 7 as approximately 35 workers were carrying out duties at the plant near Bajrang Chowk. Among the deceased workers identified following the accident were Lal Singh and Arun Pandey.
The force of the detonation was significant, with reports indicating the sound of the blast was heard up to half a kilometre away from the factory site. One worker remains in critical condition and is receiving medical treatment for injuries sustained during the event.

Police Commissioner Sanjeev Shukla confirmed the details of the accident and the immediate deployment of emergency services. Personnel from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and the local fire brigade arrived at the scene to manage the situation, while senior police officials, including the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) and Assistant Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADCP), oversaw the evacuation of the facility.
