OHB’s Slide Tests Investor Patience as AGM Governance and Technical Floors Collide

OHB SE shares fall 10% amid correction from 400% rally; key support at 50-day moving average as AGM nears with governance concerns over largest shareholder influence.

Investors in OHB SE face a double focus this spring. While the stock’s spectacular 400% rally over twelve months has given way to a sharp correction, attention is turning to the annual general meeting scheduled for 8 June 2026 — a session that will take place without physical shareholder attendance. At stake is not only the usual business of approving resolutions but also the question of how the company balances the influence of its largest shareholder against the demands of minority investors.

The sell-off gained pace on Friday, with the share price falling nearly 10% to 375.50 euros from Thursday’s close of 415.00 euros. That extends the seven-day slide to almost 14%, though the stock still trades more than 34% higher over the past 30 days. The long-term trend remains intact — the 200-day moving average sits at 203.58 euros, a level the stock has not threatened — but the short-term momentum has decisively shifted. The 50-day moving average at 354.87 euros now serves as the critical support line. A break below it would open the door to the 100-day average at 297.49 euros.

Technical indicators offer little conviction. The 14-day relative strength index has fallen to 45.3, neutral territory after the earlier overheating. The annualised 30-day volatility of 143% underscores the extraordinary price swings. With a market capitalisation of €7.42 billion, OHB is no small-cap lottery ticket — it simply trades with unusual velocity after a rally that lifted the stock from 64.20 euros in September 2025 to a 52-week high of 688.00 euros on 21 May 2026.

Governance concerns add a layer of complexity that goes beyond charts. The AGM agenda includes a proposal to elect Dr Theodor Weimer to the supervisory board. OHB describes Weimer as an entrepreneur and executive advisor at KKR. The proxy statement discloses that KKR indirectly holds an interest in Orchid Lux HoldCo S.à r.l., which controls approximately 28.64% of OHB’s shares. The departure of Claire Wellby from the board at the conclusion of the meeting further tightens the focus on the alignment of interests between the controlling shareholder and minority holders.

Operationally, OHB has plenty of positive news. Strong first-quarter results, a growing order backlog, and advances in its launcher business all contributed to an improved outlook for 2026 and 2027 presented at the capital markets day. Management explicitly ruled out a delisting. Yet the market has already priced in much of that optimism. At current levels, the stock is still roughly 485% above its 52-week low — leaving little margin for disappointment.

The 50-day line at 354.87 euros is the immediate test. A bounce from that level would confirm the correction as a normal pullback within an intact uptrend. A decisive break, by contrast, would shift the focus to the 100-day average and raise the stakes for the AGM. The meeting will not only decide board composition but also signal how the company intends to manage its rapid growth, its anchor shareholder relationship, and the trust of the capital markets.

Short-term, the bias remains cautious. The volatility is too high and the governance picture too opaque for a sweeping re?entry. Once the AGM verdict is in and the market settles, the risk?reward equation may improve. Until then, the tug?of?war between a stretched valuation and a still?strong operational story will keep both bulls and bears watching the same two levels: 354.87 euros below, 415.00 euros above.
