Hardware brand XPG is rolling out its first office and gaming chair series, the Nimbus line, while established furniture makers slash prices on ergonomic seating during July. At the same time, a specialised ergonomics certificate is making its way onto desk lamps — signalling a broader push for whole-workstation health.
The Nimbus series comes in two variants. The Plus model uses a mesh back, adjustable headrest and built-in lumbar support. Its seat can slide forward and the backrest locks into four angles up to 130 degrees. The standard Nimbus has 8-centimetre-thick foam padding and 2D armrests. Both chairs carry BIFMA and TÜV certifications and are rated for users up to 120 kilograms. According to XPG, the seals guarantee suitability for continuous daily use.
Meanwhile, Steelcase, DESKSPACE and other established names are running mid-July promotions. The Steelcase Karman Mesh office chair with Intermix fabric and 3D configurator now costs €200 less, with an extra 2% discount for early payment. DESKSPACE has launched its own price offensive: the entry-level MOVE model is €209, the MOVE PRO €249, and the top-end EXECUTIVE starts at €374.25 including delivery.
For budget-conscious buyers, the Clouvou CleverSeat is available until 19 July for roughly €200. It offers a mesh back, 4D armrests, and a weight capacity of 150 kilograms. Trade magazines have awarded it a score of 1.4, praising its ergonomics in particular.
Beyond seating, Assmann Electronic is expanding its Digitus brand with LED desk lamps that carry certification from the Institut für Gesundheit und Ergonomie (IGR). The lamps offer four colour temperatures and five brightness levels, tailored for screen-based workstations. They come in 50- and 80-centimetre lengths with a flexible gooseneck. Industry watchers view the IGR label as a clear quality signal for companies upgrading their office equipment holistically.
