Nordex Shares Gain Analyst Backing with Significant Upside Forecast
08.04.2026 - 05:16:14 | boerse-global.deAhead of its quarterly earnings release, wind turbine manufacturer Nordex has received a substantial vote of confidence from the investment community. In a move that counters recent concerns about overvaluation, the research firm Jefferies has issued an upgraded assessment, citing tangible progress on profitability and a solid order book as key drivers.
Robust Order Intake and Market Conditions Fuel Optimism
The revised outlook is supported by concrete business achievements, not just sector optimism. In early April, the company secured a major 120-megawatt order from Turkey for the supply and installation of 18 turbines. Concurrently, it expanded its presence in its domestic German market with a 40-megawatt extension project in Schleswig-Holstein.
These orders reinforce the stock's strong performance. The shares are up 49.50% year-to-date, trading just below their 52-week high of €46.18. For investors with a longer-term perspective, the equity has delivered a gain exceeding 216% over the past twelve months.
Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Nordex?
Jefferies analyst Constantin Hesse raised his price target for the Hamburg-based group from €50 to €54, maintaining a "Buy" recommendation. Based on Tuesday's closing price of €44.94, this new target implies an upside potential of approximately 20%. The firm's experts anticipate a dynamic start to the 2026 financial year.
Profitability Improvements Underpin Revised Target
The bank identifies more favorable regulatory dynamics within the European energy sector and improved fundamental market data as primary reasons for its positive stance. Demand for onshore wind solutions remains stably high. Analysts believe these conditions should translate directly into a continuous enhancement of Nordex's operating margins.
Whether the company can meet these elevated analyst expectations will become clearer on April 27, 2026. On this date, the Nordex Group is scheduled to publish its official first-quarter results. Investors will be looking for concrete evidence that the firm is on track to achieve its ambitious full-year profitability targets ahead of the annual general meeting scheduled for May 5.
