The French cable manufacturer Nexans has reshuffled its board committees, with changes taking effect on July 28, 2026. The restructuring aims to tighten governance and sustainability oversight, placing a heavy emphasis on independent representation.

Several committee seats saw new appointments. Antonio Cammisecra now sits on the nominations, compensation, and strategy committees. Thierry Fournier joins both the audit and strategy committees. Marc Grynberg has taken the chair of the strategy committee.

Independence was a clear priority. The audit committee, with four members, is now 100 percent independent. The nominations committee, comprising five members, and the compensation committee, with six members, each have an 80 percent independence rate. The strategy committee, also with six members, is two-thirds independent.

Nexans is not alone in this wave of boardroom changes. The Vodafone Group reported shifts at the end of July as well. Following its annual general meeting on July 27, Amparo Moraleda left the board, and Olaf Koch was elected as a new director. Vodafone also reorganized the membership of its audit and risk, ESG, and technology committees.

In the healthcare sector, Sarepta Therapeutics followed suit: Michael Severino joined its board on July 28. He brings leadership experience from AbbVie and Amgen. Around the same time, the Centene Corporation announced the entry of Paul J. Diaz, while Kenneth A. Burdick stepped down.

Leadership transitions are also underway at industrial firms. At Schlatter Industries AG, CEO Werner Schmidli will step down on July 31. His successor is Daniel Zappa, the current sales chief, who takes over on August 1. Roger Widmer will assume the role of CSO.

FORTEC Elektronik AG appointed Yannick Moyles-Johnson as its new CFO. He is expected to take office no later than November 1, 2026, replacing interim CFO Henrik Christiansen. At ecotel communication ag, the supervisory board extended CEO Peter Zils’ contract by three years, starting at the end of August.

Analysts have responded positively to Nexans’ restructuring. The company retains a “Buy” rating with a price target of 191 euros.
