The construction software leader Nemetschek has posted historic annual results and is aggressively advancing its technological transformation. Yet, the market reaction tells a different story. Although annual revenue surpassed one billion euros for the first time, the company's stock slid to a fresh 52-week low on Friday.

A Stark Contrast Between Fundamentals and Share Price

From an operational standpoint, management delivered. The group hit its targets with currency-adjusted revenue growth of 22.6% to €1.19 billion and an increased operating result (EBITDA) of €371.1 million. A substantial recurring SaaS revenue stream of €858.7 million provides stable cash flows, insulating the business from cyclical swings in the construction industry. Management's confidence is further signaled by a planned dividend increase to €0.68 per share, which would mark the thirteenth consecutive annual raise.

Investors, however, continue to sell off the stock. Friday's closing price of €61.35 represents a severe decline of more than 32% since the start of the year.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Nemetschek?

High Valuation and AI Execution Under Scrutiny

Analysts point to a combination of the stock's historically rich valuation and mounting pressure to demonstrate success in artificial intelligence as reasons for this significant disconnect. Nemetschek is heavily equipping its portfolio, including brands like ALLPLAN and Graphisoft, with new tools such as its "AI Assistant" and automated modeling capabilities. The strategic acquisition of U.S. specialist Firmus AI aims to automate error checking in early construction phases.

The persistent share price weakness is seen by market observers as evidence that investors now demand tangible proof that these new AI tools will accelerate growth. For many, merely announcing intelligent features is no longer sufficient to justify the stock's ambitious valuation level. Consequently, expert opinions on the outlook remain divided.

Key Analyst Ratings and Upcoming Events:
- DZ Bank: Price target €70 (Rating: Hold)
- Jefferies: Price target €90
- April 30, 2026: Q1 results publication
- May 21, 2026: Annual General Meeting

The upcoming quarterly report at the end of April is expected to be pivotal for the stock's future direction. These figures must show whether the accelerated AI integration is already contributing measurably to the targeted full-year 2026 revenue growth of 14% to 15%. Should the start to the new fiscal year prove weaker than hoped, the downward pressure at the current price level is likely to intensify.
