Nebius Secures Landmark $27 Billion AI Infrastructure Deal with Meta
07.04.2026 - 00:58:32 | boerse-global.deIn a move that dramatically scales its position in the artificial intelligence infrastructure sector, Nebius has finalized a monumental expansion of its partnership with Meta Platforms. The new agreement, valued at $27 billion, guarantees the U.S. tech giant long-term access to essential computing capacity. This single contract propels Nebius's total order backlog into uncharted territory, necessitating an unprecedented global expansion of its data center footprint.
Unprecedented Scale and Strategic Shift
The core of this development is the formal extension of a supply agreement. Under revised terms, Meta will secure dedicated AI infrastructure worth $12 billion, with deployment scheduled to commence early next year. Furthermore, Meta has committed to investing an additional $15 billion over a five-year period for available computing power. When combined with existing multi-year contracts, including one with Microsoft, Nebius's contractually secured order backlog now swells to approximately $45 billion.
To meet these substantial commitments, the company is accelerating the physical build-out of its facilities. A key focus is a new campus in Lappeenranta, Finland. This site is designed for a total capacity of 310 megawatts, with its first phase slated to come online in 2027.

Global Capacity Race and Funding Drive
The Finnish project is one component of a worldwide strategy. Nebius aims to secure over 3 gigawatts of contracted power globally by the end of this year. In the EMEA region, it has already locked in 750 megawatts and is upgrading existing Finnish facilities with Nvidia’s latest GB300 NVL72 platform. Concurrently, the company is advancing its U.S. expansion, having recently received approval for a one-gigawatt facility in the state of Missouri.
This rapid growth demands significant capital. Nebius recently raised about $4.3 billion through a private placement of convertible bonds. Management intends to channel these funds directly into procuring high-performance GPUs and accelerating construction projects to serve the intense demand for AI computing.
Financial Ambitions and European Positioning
The financial forecast for 2026 highlights an aggressive scaling model. With expected capital expenditures between $16 and $20 billion, the company is targeting annual revenue in the range of $3.0 to $3.4 billion. By the end of December 2026, the annualized revenue run-rate is projected to climb to $7-$9 billion. Through a planned doubling of its active power capacity to over 1.7 gigawatts, Nebius is completing its transformation into a pure-play AI infrastructure provider, positioning itself as a cornerstone for Europe's technological sovereignty.
