Appointed as the new Executive Vice President for the product, he now holds centralized authority over its design and development across all applications, reporting directly to CEO Satya Nadella. Concurrently, Mustafa Suleyman, previously the head of AI, transitions to a more specialized role. His focus shifts exclusively to advancing Microsoft's proprietary AI models and the long-term pursuit of superintelligence. This core duo is supported by three additional executives who will oversee the platform infrastructure surrounding Microsoft 365.

This executive realignment is a direct response to tangible criticism from the market. The prior division of Copilot into distinct versions for consumers and enterprise clients created operational inefficiencies. By consolidating development teams, the software giant aims to dissolve this complexity.
