Micron Technology is on the verge of launching operations at its new semiconductor facility in Gujarat, India, with production lines set to begin rolling before the end of February. The upcoming Sanand plant represents a significant leap for India, marking its entry into large-scale commercial semiconductor manufacturing. During the recent India AI Impact Summit, S. Krishnan, Secretary of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, confirmed the project's timeline. The venture involves a total investment of 22,516 crore rupees and will focus on assembly, testing, marking, and packaging (ATMP) operations.
