Defense technology group Hensoldt has achieved a significant operational milestone with the successful delivery of its first cutting-edge long-range radar system to the German Navy. This accomplishment represents a crucial step forward in the prestigious frigate modernization initiative and demonstrates the company’s ability to execute complex defense projects effectively.

The initial delivery of one out of four advanced radar systems to the Naval Technical School in Parow serves as both a testing and training platform while validating Hensoldt’s project management capabilities. This sophisticated system will replace outdated SMART-L radars currently installed on Saxony-class frigates, marking a substantial technological upgrade for Germany’s naval forces.
