The 2026 National Conference for Workplace Health Management (BGM) will take a fresh angle this year, focusing squarely on team dynamics. Under the slogan “Healthy Teams – How Cooperation Works,” organisers plan to spotlight the social side of business on September 15. The aim: deliver concepts that boost both mental well-being and group efficiency.

Flanking the main event, several additional formats have been scheduled. A webinar covering BGM quality criteria – aimed at those managing certification processes – is set for November 3, 2026. Earlier, on February 18, a breakfast meet-up in Chur will encourage regional exchange among health managers.

On June 15, the Ideas Management Centre will release the German Ideas Management Report 2026 in an online presentation. It will highlight trends on how companies more effectively tap employee input for process improvements.

Artificial intelligence also takes centre stage in the healthcare sector. At the HLTH Europe trade fair in Amsterdam (June 15–18), the King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre (KFSH) will unveil its new AI strategy. Ranked first in the Middle East and Africa and twelfth globally by Brand Finance 2026, the hospital is pursuing human-centred AI solutions to reduce administrative burdens and improve patient care. Among the innovations is the region’s first “Smart Neuroscience Ward,” which integrates technological support into neurological nursing.

Meanwhile, occupational safety specialists gather in The Hague on June 15. The inaugural meeting of the Expert Bureau for Exposure to Substances at Work (BSW) takes place at the building of the Social and Economic Council (SER). Experts will discuss collaboration on workplace chemical limits, with the goal of better protecting employees through closer coordination between government bodies and research institutes.

The same day marks the start of the National Games of Special Olympics Germany in Saarland. Running until June 20, more than 4,000 athletes with disabilities will compete in over 20 sports. The event is described as the country’s largest inclusive sporting fixture.

In Neustadtl an der Donau, a second Health Day is scheduled for June 20, themed “Nature and Conscious Experience.” Last year’s debut drew over 600 visitors and 40 exhibitors.

A short-notice cancellation: a seminar on occupational pension law (bAV) in Dresden has been called off due to insufficient demand. Replacement dates are available in Kassel in late August or in Dortmund in September.
