Goldsky Resources concluded its 2025 fiscal year with a significantly widened net loss, a direct result of its aggressive and well-funded expansion strategy across Scandinavia. The company is now advancing development plans for its core Finnish and Swedish assets, backed by a substantial war chest.

The reported net loss for the year reached $28.2 million, a notable increase from the $10.9 million loss recorded in the prior year. This surge in expenditure is primarily attributed to intensified exploration activities and heightened corporate operations following the December 2025 merger of First Nordic Metals and Mawson Finland.

Robust Balance Sheet Funds Ambitious Plans

Despite the operational deficit, the company's financial position has strengthened considerably. Year-end cash reserves swelled to $84.4 million, largely fueled by an CAD $80 million financing package secured during the Mawson acquisition. Total assets grew in parallel to $178 million, reflecting the successful consolidation of its Nordic exploration portfolio.

Operational Momentum Across Key Projects

Current operational focus is centered on the Rajapalot project in Finland. Multiple drill rigs are active on-site, targeting expansion of the established gold and cobalt resources within the Palokas and Raja zones. The ongoing 2025-2026 programs aim to enhance the reliability of the resource estimate while testing new regional targets.

Simultaneously, management is progressing toward full ownership of the Barsele gold project in Sweden. Following the planned acquisition of the remaining 55% interest, the company intends to advance this asset to a Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) by 2026.

Market Performance and Forward Catalysts

Shares experienced a minor decline of 0.50% on Friday, closing at €1.99. Nevertheless, the equity remains up more than 52% since the start of the year. The primary drivers for valuation in the coming months are expected to be results from the ongoing Finnish drill campaigns and concrete progress in the consolidation of the Barsele project.
