Freegold Ventures Limited has released a new set of drilling data from its Golden Summit property in Alaska, indicating gold grades that surpass the existing resource model's expectations. This advancement moves the company closer to its objective of completing an economic feasibility study for the development.

Metallurgical and Environmental Progress

Parallel to the drilling update, the company reported significant headway in metallurgical processing. Pilot-scale flotation tests have successfully produced a high-grade concentrate, achieving gold recovery rates exceeding 90%. Separate environmental characterization studies suggest that processing tailings present a low acid-generating potential. This favorable environmental profile is expected to allow for more flexible processing plans and could lead to meaningful reductions in both future capital expenditures and operating costs.

Drilling Details Reveal Consistent Mineralization

The latest assay results, derived from six additional drill holes, reinforce the continuity of the mineralized system near Fairbanks. Notably, intercepts from the Dolphin Zone have returned substantial gold values. One highlight includes an interval grading 3.09 grams of gold per tonne over more than 40 meters.

These findings carry strategic weight for Freegold Ventures. The tighter drill spacing increases data density, which in turn enhances the confidence level for the forthcoming resource estimate—a critical component for assessing the project's ultimate economic viability.
