The technology firm First Hydrogen is broadening its strategic focus beyond hydrogen-powered commercial vehicles to include advanced robotics. The company is now prioritizing the development of an unmanned ground vehicle, a move designed to diversify the industrial applications for its proprietary fuel cell systems.

Commercial Vehicle Progress and New Robotic Focus

First Hydrogen has previously developed two light commercial vehicles powered by hydrogen. During testing in the United Kingdom, these vehicles achieved a range exceeding 630 kilometers on a single tank of fuel. This performance metric, which surpasses many competing battery-electric models in the same category, serves as a key validation of the technology's practical viability.

Concurrently, the company is advancing plans for a patented mobile robotic vehicle. This unmanned system is intended to utilize a hybrid propulsion concept, where hydrogen fuel cells would provide power for extended operational durations. The objective is to deploy this flexible technology in sectors such as logistics and energy supply, thereby reducing reliance on conventional fossil fuels.

Market Performance and Upcoming Catalyst

The company's shares experienced a notable rebound in recent trading, advancing by approximately 7.7 percent. This gain follows a significant decline that saw the equity hit a fresh 52-week low of €0.21 in early March. Despite the recent uptick, the stock remains down by roughly 36 percent for the year-to-date period. Its volatility, measured above 80 percent, continues to underscore the speculative nature of the investment.

Investors are now looking ahead to a confirmed date on the corporate calendar: the release of full-year 2026 results is scheduled for July 29.
