Shareholders of European Green Transition Plc are set to convene for a formal vote on March 30, a meeting that will finalize a recent, heavily oversubscribed capital raise. The proceeds are earmarked to fuel an aggressive expansion of the company's infrastructure portfolio through a targeted acquisition strategy.

Capital Raise Exceeds Target

The company successfully raised gross proceeds of £7.5 million, substantially surpassing its initial target of approximately £5 million due to strong investor demand. The placement involved 125 million new shares issued at a price of 6 pence per share. A portion of the funds is already allocated: £1.5 million will repay bridge financing, with the remainder bolstering liquidity for both operational needs and strategic acquisitions.

Portfolio Refinement and Expansion

Management is executing a clear plan to concentrate on critical infrastructure within water, energy, and data centers. A key move this year was the acquisition of a profitable platform for maintaining and remotely monitoring over 900 onshore wind turbines. This service-based operation is now poised for organic growth and will be expanded through complementary purchases across the UK, Ireland, and continental Europe.

Concurrently, the firm is streamlining its portfolio. Assets falling outside the core focus, such as the Olserum rare earth elements project, are designated for sale or future partnership development. The objective is to sharpen the focus entirely on cash-generative service operations, creating a foundation for a progressive dividend policy in the long term.

The new shares are expected to begin trading on the AIM market on March 31. This follows the pivotal General Meeting in London on March 30, where shareholders will vote on the resolutions required to complete the capital measure. The successful fundraise provides European Green Transition with a strengthened balance sheet to pursue its "buy-and-build" agenda.
