Energiekontor's Project Pipeline Triples Amid Accelerating Growth
04.04.2026 - 04:44:25 | boerse-global.deThe renewable energy developer Energiekontor is demonstrating remarkable momentum, with 640 megawatts of capacity currently under construction or on the verge of breaking ground. This figure represents an increase of approximately 70 percent compared to the same period last year. In a recent milestone, the Bützfleth wind farm in the Stade district has achieved financial close and is scheduled for commissioning by the end of 2027.
Financial Performance and Dividend Surge
This operational dynamism is translating directly into the company's financial results. For the 2025 fiscal year, external revenue in the Project Development and Sales segment surged to €94.9 million, a significant jump from €52.4 million the year before. The segment's operating earnings before taxes (EBT) nearly tripled, reaching €20.8 million.
Reflecting this robust performance, the management board will propose a dividend of €1.00 per share at the Annual General Meeting on May 27. This payout is double the previous year's amount and corresponds to about 35 percent of the annual net profit being returned to shareholders.

A Foundation for Future Earnings
Parallel to its construction progress, Energiekontor has secured 34 new building permits for projects with a total capacity of nearly 1.2 gigawatts. The company's total project pipeline, including its U.S. activities, has now expanded to 12.2 gigawatts. Management expects this substantial foundation to support a group EBT of €120 million by 2028.
Looking ahead to 2026, Energiekontor forecasts a consolidated EBT in a range between €40 million and €60 million. The wide span is attributed to uncertainties, primarily potential delays in grid connection confirmations for its UK project business. The company notes a stabilizing focus on Scotland, where power prices are fixed.
Analyst Outlook and Valuation Gap
Equity researchers at Warburg Research maintain a "Buy" rating on Energiekontor shares, assigning a price target of €74. This target stands notably above the current trading level of approximately €35. The share price has recently traded more than 18 percent below its value from twelve months prior.
This disconnect between the company's strong operational development and its stock market valuation remains a central point for investors to consider. The accelerating project rollout, tripling segment earnings, and a doubled dividend present a contrasting picture to the share's recent performance.
