Australian defense technology firm Electro Optic Systems Holdings (EOS) concluded 2025 with a significant surge in new business, securing a series of high-value contracts throughout December. The company's order volume for the month soared to over 400 million Australian dollars, representing a near-tripling of the 136 million dollars reported at the close of 2024.

The final month of the year demonstrated sustained, robust demand for EOS's core technologies across multiple regions. The company successfully booked major agreements for both its remote weapon systems and directed energy platforms, highlighting strength in its product portfolio from North America to the Asia-Pacific region.

A Landmark Directed Energy Export

On December 15, 2025, EOS announced its largest single deal of the period: an 80 million US dollar (approximately 120 million Australian dollars) contract to supply a 100-kilowatt class high-energy laser weapon system to a customer in South Korea. This marks the second major export order for this technology, following a similar contract from a Western European client in August 2025.

The comprehensive agreement includes provisions for establishing a joint venture to serve the Korean market and involves the licensing of related intellectual property. Manufacturing for the system will take place at EOS's new facility in Singapore. The customer has committed an 18 million US dollar advance payment and has conducted a site inspection, with contract fulfillment targeted for the end of January 2026.

North American Contract for Vehicle-Mounted Systems

Adding to the December haul, EOS announced a further contract on December 19, 2025. Valued at 21 million US dollars (32 million Australian dollars), this order from a North American client is for R400 remote weapon systems. These units are destined for integration onto lightly armored vehicles for deployment in South America. The prime contractor for this project is an established defense corporation with an investment-grade credit rating.

Production of the weapon stations will occur at the EOS manufacturing plant in Canberra, with deliveries scheduled between 2026 and 2027. The contract scope extends beyond the core systems to include vehicle integration kits and ongoing sustainment services.

The collective weight of these December agreements solidifies a strong year for EOS's order book, positioning the company for continued execution and growth into the next fiscal period.
