DroneShield has announced its 2026 governance calendar, with the Annual General Meeting scheduled for May 29, 2026. A critical deadline for board nominations, however, arrives much sooner on April 10. This gives shareholders seeking to influence the company's leadership composition less than ten days to act.

A Backdrop of Strategic Expansion and Leadership Renewal

The upcoming meeting occurs as the counter-drone technology firm operates against a backdrop of aggressive growth. The company is executing a significant scale-up of its annual production capacity, targeting an increase from approximately $500 million in 2025 to $2.4 billion by the close of 2026.

Recent executive appointments have reshaped the company's leadership. In February 2026, DroneShield named Michael Powell as its Chief Operating Officer. Powell brings more than 25 years of expertise from the defense, aerospace, and critical infrastructure sectors, including prior COO roles at Thales Australia and Knorr-Bremse.

This followed a prior restructuring of the technology leadership in October 2025. Angus Bean moved fully into the Chief Product Officer position, while Angus Harris assumed the role of Chief Technology Officer. Together, they lead a product and engineering team comprising over 330 staff members.

Financial Momentum and Key Contracts

DroneShield's financial performance provides further context for the AGM. Europe emerged as its strongest single market in 2025, generating $98 million in revenue and accounting for 45 percent of total sales. The company's regional pipeline is currently valued at $1.2 billion.

The firm recently secured six separate contracts worth a combined $21.7 million for delivery to an unspecified Western military customer. Additionally, DroneShield entered a research agreement with the Australian Department of Defence aimed at enhancing counter-drone capabilities.

With the nomination window closing on April 10, the slate of candidates who will guide DroneShield through its next growth phase will be confirmed well before shareholders cast their votes at the end of May.
