Diginex Appoints Leadership Trio to Spearhead Post-Merger Integration
04.04.2026 - 04:15:06 | boerse-global.deFollowing the strategic announcement of a major corporate consolidation just three days prior, Diginex has moved swiftly to appoint key executives tasked with managing the transition. The company has named Jacob Friedman as its new Chief Operating Officer and Sandra Kovacheva as Chief Administrative Officer, providing clear leadership for the planned integration of its four business units.
A Strategic Response to Consolidation
These appointments are a direct implementation of the strategy unveiled on March 30, which aims to merge four distinct entities—Diginex, Plan A.earth, Matter DK, and The Remedy Project—into a single, unified technology platform. The objective is to offer banks, asset managers, and corporations a comprehensive suite of integrated ESG, sustainability, and compliance solutions.
The newly formed leadership team now bears responsibility for transforming this strategic blueprint into a fully operational business. The company has indicated that further, concrete details regarding the implementation will be provided as the second quarter of 2026 progresses.

Profiles of the New Leadership
Jacob Friedman steps into the COO role with deep operational knowledge from within the organization. Since 2021, he served as Chief Customer Officer at Plan A, where he established customer operations across 15 markets and implemented an AI infrastructure that now handles over 80% of customer inquiries autonomously. His primary mandate is to integrate and harmonize these operational structures across all four business units. During the transition period, he will continue to serve concurrently as the Managing Director of Plan A.
Sandra Kovacheva, appointed CAO, brings extensive legal and regulatory expertise from multiple European jurisdictions. Previously the General Counsel and Data Protection Officer at Plan A, she has overseen financing rounds, the Diginex acquisition itself, and several restructuring initiatives. In her new capacity, she will be responsible for aligning the company-wide functions of legal affairs, compliance, human resources, and governance.
This restructuring also involves a shift for the former COO, Christian Thierfelder, who transitions into the newly defined position of Chief Information Officer. In this role, he will focus on the strategic development and advancement of the company's IT systems.
The moves underscore Diginex's commitment to creating a cohesive structure from its recently combined assets, placing experienced insiders at the helm to navigate the complex integration process.
