Dada Nexus Completes Privatization and Nasdaq Exit
08.02.2026 - 12:18:05The public trading chapter for Dada Nexus has officially closed. The on-demand delivery platform has been fully delisted from the Nasdaq exchange following its acquisition and privatization by JD.com, the Chinese e-commerce leader. Investors searching for current share prices will now find only inactive ticker symbols on trading platforms.
The delisting process followed a definitive schedule that concluded in mid-2025:
* Shareholder approval for the merger agreement with a JD.com subsidiary was secured on June 10, 2025.
* The acquisition was formally completed on June 16, 2025.
* Trading of Dada Nexus shares on the Nasdaq was permanently suspended the following day, June 17, 2025.
Under the terms of the deal, holders of American Depositary Shares (ADS) received a cash consideration of $2.00 per share. The company's removal from the public market also terminated all mandatory reporting obligations to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Dadaexus?
Navigating Post-Delisting Information
With Dada Nexus now operating as a private entity, a publicly quoted market price no longer exists. Market participants are cautioned that some financial data websites may continue to display outdated "zombie tickers." These typically show only the final trading price from 2025 and hold no current relevance. The company will no longer issue independent financial forecasts or quarterly earnings reports.
Shifting Analytical Focus to JD.com
For those monitoring the on-demand logistics sector in China, the investment thesis must now shift. The operational assets of Dada Nexus, including its core "Dada Now" and "JDDJ" platforms, have been fully integrated into JD.com's corporate structure.
Consequently, all future operational updates and performance metrics for this business segment will be reported exclusively within JD.com's consolidated financial statements. A direct investment in Dada Nexus is no longer possible. Investors seeking exposure to this segment must therefore base their analysis on the financial disclosures and strategic direction of the parent company, JD.com.
