Australian precious metals company Catalyst Metals is strengthening its operational footprint through a dual-pronged strategic move. The company has finalized an agreement to acquire the West Bryah copper-gold project while simultaneously taking a strategic stake in Star Minerals, a maneuver designed to boost production and optimize existing infrastructure.

Financial and Operational Details of the Deal

The transaction, completed on March 19, 2026, involves Catalyst Metals acquiring the West Bryah project for a total consideration of USD 2.75 million. The payment structure combines a USD 1 million cash component with the issuance of more than 230,000 new Catalyst shares. In a parallel and related investment, Catalyst is directing a further USD 1 million into Star Minerals, securing a 6.59% equity interest in the company.

A core operational benefit of this alliance is a toll-milling agreement. This arrangement allows Star Minerals to process ore from its Tumblegum South project through Catalyst Metals' Plutonic gold mill. This partnership achieves two key objectives: it improves the utilization rate of Catalyst's processing facility and supports Star Minerals' own production target of up to 15.9 thousand ounces of gold.
